Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Help support students and enhance their educational experience by providing occupational therapy services within a school setting near Lees Summit, MO. Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized plans to address students’ needs
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student participation in school activities
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a range of abilities and needs
- Develop and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in partnership with educational teams
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation as required by the school and state regulations
- Provide training and resources to staff to support students’ functional success in the classroom
- Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions as needed
