Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Yorba Linda, California. This is a long-term contract position within the construction industry, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role involves handling various accounting tasks while supporting the month-end close process and managing financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including check runs, vendor reconciliations, and three-way matching.
• Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with transactions.
• Maintain and update fixed asset records, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Provide assistance during month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Review and analyze profit and loss statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with accounts receivable and accounts payable staff across multiple entities.
• Utilize Sage Intacct and Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
• Address questions and provide guidance to the accounts payable team as necessary.
• Support the accounting manager and senior accountant with various tasks and projects.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all processes.• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Excel, including advanced functions such as vlookups.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and fixed asset management.
• Ability to perform detailed reviews of profit and loss statements.
• Experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Familiarity with handling accounting across multiple entities.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and practices within the construction industry.
