Job Title: CNC Machinist Level 2
Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a CNC Machinist, where your expertise in milling, setup, and programming will be pivotal.
Responsibilities
- Conduct setup and machining using manual mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC Machining Centers.
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions and configurations of cuts, and select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
- Perform basic to intermediate level programming of CNC Machinery.
- Determine reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.
- Outline the sequence of operations required to machine parts.
- Observe machine operation and inspect parts to ensure programmed instructions are followed.
- Inspect parts using common measuring tools such as part probes, micrometers, and calipers.
- Perform all work procedures in accordance with safety and ISO Standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Tooling Department Manager to review work schedules and assignment statuses.
- Collaborate with a team to identify, develop, and deliver innovative solutions, aiming to improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and enhancing quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in machining, milling, and CNC operation.
- Experience with 3 axis CNC machining centers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficient in using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T).
- Competence in MS Office and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years trade school diploma required or 2+ years college in a technical discipline preferred.
- CNC Programmer Certification desired.
- Prior CNC programming experience, 3+ years preferred.
- Experience with 3D CAD and CAM preferred.
- Ability to train and learn CAD/CAM programming using SolidWorks, MasterCam, etc.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
