COMPENSATION

$100-$125K/yr (BOE)

JOB SUMMARY

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing plant activities in order to meet business objectives. This person will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that's consistent with quality requirements. The PM will delegate authority to key supervisors in production, manage all functions involved, and direct and coordinate operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure overall safety and efficiency of the facility
  2. Oversee daily facility operations led by the Operations Manager
  3. Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance
  4. Foster a team culture focused on trust & employee development.
  5. Serve as mentor & coach to Plant Operations Manager for succession planning
  6. Analyze, understand, & utilize financial statements to achieve plant budget goals
  7. Test and monitor plant processes - ensure the plant remains in compliance with relevant processes
  8. Develop long-term strategic objectives for continuous process improvement
  9. Control costs to achieve plant budget goals
  10. Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience – Minimum five (5) years plant operations leadership experience and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, etc) preferred.
  • Language Skills – Ability to develop documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring devices.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Computer Skills – Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS – Lean / Six Sigma Experience Preferred
