This role offers the opportunity to support elementary students with diverse learning needs through specialized instruction and collaborative teamwork in a vibrant school setting. The position focuses on providing targeted teaching aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for grades 3 and 4, with an emphasis on learning and language disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students IEP goals, ensuring academic and social-emotional growth
- Utilize student data to guide instructional decisions and monitor progress toward goals
- Write detailed, data-driven Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs) reports
- Collaborate consistently with the Child Study Team, related service providers, and families to support holistic student development
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
- Implement interventions and strategies that foster language development and academic achievement
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification focused on Learning and Language Disabilities or equivalent credential
- Experience working with elementary-aged students exhibiting a range of learning challenges
- Strong background and skill set in IEP development, implementation, and legal pliance
- Proficiency in behavioral management techniques and evidence-based instructional practices
- Excellent collaboration, munication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and families
