Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dependable Bookkeeper to provide part-time accounting support for a growing advisory firm in Wisconsin. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is well suited for someone who enjoys managing day-to-day bookkeeping, keeping client financial records accurate, and contributing to a business that is expanding quickly. The position supports a range of client accounts across multiple industries and offers the chance to take on broader responsibilities as business needs increase.

Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts payable activities, including entering and tracking vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts to maintain reliable financial records.
• Contribute to month-end close tasks and help resolve accounting discrepancies through cleanup and review work.
• Maintain well-organized books and supporting documentation for several client engagements at once.
• Deliver ongoing bookkeeping services for recurring client needs, ensuring deadlines and reporting schedules are met.
• Help clients better understand financial results by supporting reporting discussions and profit and loss review.
• Partner with firm leadership on special accounting assignments and client service initiatives as priorities evolve.
• Assist with QuickBooks-related bookkeeping, file cleanup, and accounting process support for client accounts.• Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting support is required.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of reconciliations, general bookkeeping practices, and month-end procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, shifting priorities, and recurring deadlines effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep records accurate and organized.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial setting.
• Effective communication skills and a client-focused approach to service.
