Financial Analyst
Storm Search's client is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support healthcare financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and data analytics initiatives. This individual will play a key role in maintaining cost accounting methodologies, enhancing financial reporting capabilities, supporting financial systems, and delivering actionable insights to finance and operational leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and maintain healthcare cost accounting methodologies, including RVU, RCC, Variable Charge, and Activity-Based Costing (ABC).
- Assist with overhead allocations, statistical drivers, net revenue reimbursement calculations, reconciliations, and financial allocations.
- Monitor, validate, and enhance financial data extracts from multiple source systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Partner with IT on financial system upgrades, testing, implementations, and production support.
- Develop dashboards, recurring reports, and custom financial reporting solutions for finance and executive leadership.
- Perform financial analyses related to product line profitability, physician performance, utilization, length of stay, and other operational initiatives.
- Support source system definitions, costing assignments, general ledger mapping, payroll allocations, and reporting development.
- Assist with net revenue modeling and financial system integrations for newly acquired facilities.
- Respond to ad hoc financial reporting and analytical requests while managing competing priorities.
- Participate in special projects, business planning initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience (3+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of:

- Financial reporting and general ledger accounting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Healthcare cost accounting principles
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- Healthcare finance or healthcare accounting experience.
- Experience with financial system implementations or conversions.
- Knowledge of hospital billing, charge master concepts, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Experience developing dashboards and financial reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, budgeting, and enterprise financial systems.
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel.
