Job DescriptionAxios Professional Recruitment is partnered with an adhesive converter in Rochester Hills, who is looking to hire an experienced PPAP Coordinator / Quality Coordinator that is detail-oriented and takes a proactive approach to managing quality standards. This role will be responsible for managing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. This will be a key role in supporting product launches, engineering changes, supplier quality initiatives and other quality department activities.Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and compile PPAP documentation for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Review and verify supplier PPAP submissions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records of PPAP documentation and approvals.
  • IMDS submissions/requirements/rejections
  • Communicate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality documentation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Support audits and customer visits by providing relevant PPAP documentation.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality documentation and processes.
  • Record and submit Packaging Standards
  • Support in other roles in the Quality Department

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing, with a focus on PPAP coordination.
  • Strong understanding of AIAG – Core Tools & PPAP Elements
  • Basic Dimensional Schematic (print/drawing) reading skills
  • Able to perform dimensional layouts using basic gaging techniques.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    • IATF 16949, & ISO 9001.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows & Office 365 Suite
    • Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with automotive industry standards.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes and documentation.
  • Experience with International Material Data System (IMDS)
  • Experience with Conflict Minerals and USMCA/NAFTA -a plus+
  • Experience using Plex ERP -a plus+
