Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our onsite clinical team. Under direct supervision, this role supports physicians and clinicians by assisting with patient care, ensuring efficient clinic flow, and performing essential administrative and clinical tasks. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities

Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas

Record patient information prior to physician visits, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates

Obtain and organize patient records required for exams, treatments, or procedures

Prepare, stock, and disinfect exam and treatment rooms according to protocol

Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested

Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician

Answer incoming patient calls and route appropriately to physicians, nurses, or pharmacists

Phone in prescriptions and complete patient outreach calls as directed

Notify physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows

Perform administrative duties including typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception coverage, and scheduling support

Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and clinic policies
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assisting experience

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications

Comfortable and accurate with clinical documentation
