Your Role

The Loan Support Specialist IIis responsible for timely and accurate processing of loan documentation, including preparing loan documents, funding and booking loans on the Bank’s core system, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. This position is also responsible for imaging and indexing all loan documents in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, ensuring quality control during the process. This position partners with other loan services team members and Bank departments to provide high level support and assistance.

  • Communicates with front-line staff; answers and directs incoming calls and emails in an accurate, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of private customer information.
  • Installs, manages, and tracks loan exceptions, covenants, and financial updates for borrowers.
  • Ensures compliance with established Bank and regulatory guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains loan documentation knowledge utilizing LaserPro on all types of Commercial Loans, including but not limited to Commercial C&I, Commercial Real Estate, AG, and Participation loans.
  • Processes, posts, and maintains files on construction loan draw requests per department policies and procedures and is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of draw packages prior to approvals and funding.
  • Orders and reviews Construction Inspection reports to monitor the progress of the projects.
  • Prepares payoff quotes and releases collateral correctly once loans are paid in full.
  • Completes research and provides detailed supporting documentation to identify and resolve issues or exceptions that arise.
  • Orders and reviews annual requirements for AG portfolio, including but not limited to vessel surveys and quota evaluations.
  • Capable of boarding and funding loans on the Core system.
  • Monitors and updates Asset Based Loans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Understanding of loan associated General Ledgers.
  • Proficient knowledge of core system and its various functions.
  • Flexible with and accepting of change in production environment with willingness to learn new skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to changing priorities while possessing strong time management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and iCore.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively and clearly in a variety of settings, formats, and audiences; with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 to 6 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a multi-line telephone, copy machine, scanner, fax, and computer printer. The employee needs to frequently communicate with internal and external contacts and move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment

  • Climate controlled business office environment.
  • Ability to work in artificial light for extended periods of time.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions and frequent interruptions during the day.
  • This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week.
  • Work requires regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to an agreed-upon schedule with willingness to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule and/or extended hours, as needed.


Travel Required

  • Minimal (0%-10%) local, non-overnight travel.

Job Type: Full-time in person
Pay: $22.40 to $32.50 per hour
