A reputable elementary school in Lockport, NY is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support its student population for the upcoming contract school year (CSY). This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in psychological assessment and intervention within a vibrant educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for elementary students to identify learning needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide ongoing support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend adjustments to support services.
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention services as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with education regulations.
- Work a schedule from 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM, ensuring availability during school hours.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience providing psychological services in an elementary school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of assessment tools and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records.
