Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist with a strong background in infusion and oncology services for a critical need contract assignment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and evidence-based pharmaceutical care while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing oncology and infusion therapies, possess strong clinical judgment, and demonstrate proficiency in oncology treatment protocols and medication management systems.
Key Responsibilities
•\tReview, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and established pharmacy protocols.
•\tPrepare and oversee the dispensing of infusion and oncology medications.
•\tEvaluate medication regimens for appropriateness, safety, efficacy, and potential drug interactions.
•\tMonitor patients receiving infusion and oncology therapies and provide clinical recommendations as needed.
•\tCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy outcomes.
•\tEnsure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
•\tMaintain accurate medication records and clinical documentation.
•\tParticipate in medication safety initiatives, quality improvement activities, and pharmacy audits.
•\tProvide education and counseling to patients and healthcare staff regarding medications and treatment plans.
•\tAssist with inventory management, medication procurement, and controlled substance monitoring as required.
Qualifications
•\tDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
•\tActive Washington State Pharmacist License.
•\tCurrent BLS certification.
•\tRecent experience in infusion and oncology pharmacy practice required.
•\tBeacon system experience required.
•\tPharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred.
•\tStrong knowledge of oncology treatment protocols, chemotherapy preparation, and infusion therapy management.
•\tExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•\tAbility to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
