ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our clinical healthcare team in Mobile, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or early-career dietitian to launch their professional journey in a supportive, patient-centered environment. We are committed to mentorship and professional development, and we welcome candidates who are completing or have recently completed their dietetic internship.
POSITION DETAILS
- Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent position – Direct Hire
- Location: Mobile, Alabama (on-site)
- Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 per year, commensurate with credentials
- Setting: Healthcare / Clinical Setting
- Experience Level: New graduates and recent RDN exam passers strongly encouraged to apply
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients across a range of clinical conditions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient nutrition care
- Provide patient and family education on therapeutic diets, disease management, and healthy lifestyle practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
- Support community outreach and health education programs as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an ACEND-accredited program
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) or Coordinated Program (CP)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or eligibility to sit for the RDN exam upon hire
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a dietitian in the State of Alabama
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based nutrition care
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Clinical rotation experience in hospital, long-term care, or outpatient settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated interest in continued education and specialty certification
