Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• Every third weekend requirement with rotating holiday schedule
\n• 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on 32-bed medical/surgical orthopedic unit
\n• Care for medical/surgical patients with specialty in post-operative cancer intervention (prostatectomy, mastectomy, etc.)
\n• Required to titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN
\n• Telemetry monitoring with central monitoring system - RNs responsible for noticing strip changes
\n• Charge nurse and house supervisor responsibilities included
\n• Nurse aids available sometimes dependent on sitter needs with 1:15 ratio
\n• Rare floating requirements only to other medical/surgical units if needed
\n• Navy scrub color dress code required
\n• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
\n• Unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
\n• EPIC charting system
\n• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
\n• Must demonstrate good communication, accurate documentation, timeliness, and patient-centered care
\n• Driver's license required at submittal
\n• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
