Summary:
Trison Solutions LLC is a contract manufacturer of printed circuit board (PCB) and electromechanical assemblies. The hybrid Production Manager/Quality Manager role is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations and quality management systems for Trison Solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and meets quality standards and deadlines. This position is a hands-on leader who will also work alongside the production team to meet customer expectations.
Duties:
Production Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and control all production processes to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality PCB and electronic assemblies utilizing the company ERP system.
- Develop and implement production schedules, resource plans, and workflow strategies to meet output targets and minimize downtime.
- Manage and mentor production staff, provide training and performance evaluations.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company quality standards and AS/ISO/IPC requirements.
- Monitor production KPIs (e.g. yield, efficiency, throughput, downtime, scrap rates) and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Administration teams to support continuous improvement and resolve process bottlenecks.
- Ensure regular maintenance and calibration is performed for all equipment and machines.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve throughput, and lower production costs.
- Promote a culture of safety and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory requirement.
- Provide input into design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) discussions.
- Perform production duties when customer demand warrants the need.
Quality Management:
- Overall responsibility for the company’s quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO9001, AS9100, and other regulatory standards.
- Ensure effective documentation, control of procedures and compliance reporting.
- Oversee incoming inspection of raw materials and components, in-process inspections, and final product adherence to specifications.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics (KPIs) to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and third-party inspections, ensuring prompt resolution of any non-conformances.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure proper use and calibration of test and measurement equipment.
- Investigate non-conformities, customer complaints. Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and conduct training sessions for employees on quality standards, best practices and compliance.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
Supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of industry specific equipment, safety standards, quality assurance and compliance.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive experience in a production and/or quality management role, electronics experience a plus.
Proficiency in production software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards.
Experience with regulatory audits.
Demonstrated experience leading in a production environment.
