Job Description

The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or imply that the duties listed are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested.

Essential Duties These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position.

· Responsible for producing flour tortillas within the specified quality requirements.

· Startup equipment, turn ovens on, set press plate temperatures, prepare divider/rounder, assure vacuum, cooling conveyors and cooler room are on.

· Check that press is set up for products to be produced.

· Monitor baking process and tortilla appearance at all times.

· Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Lead Person will inform operator of changes.

· Perform changeovers from one formula to another and from one size to another.

· Help Mixer Operator dump sack flour in mixer when needed.

· Fill out process control forms and take corrective actions as necessary.

· Follow production schedule as indicated by Lead or Supervisor.

· End of production-disconnect machinery, store tools, shut down gas in ovens.

· Complete all production reports / forms.

· Maintain the work area clean.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
