Job DescriptionAdelphi is seeking licensed Forensic Psychologists to provide forensic psychological services in a psychiatric facility in Howard County, Texas. Candidates will be responsible for competency and insanity evaluations, risk assessments, and related forensic services for patients referred through the justice system.

Requirements
• Active license as a Psychologist with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, or
• Licensure as a Psy.D practitioner with the Texas Medical Board
• License must be maintained in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of relevant forensic psychology experience
• Compliance with all credentialing, background checks, and continuing education requirements
• Forensic Certification / Training:
• American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) Specialty Certification in Forensic Psychology, OR
• Completion of all the following:
• At least 24 hours of specialized forensic training in competency/insanity evaluations
• 8 hours of forensic continuing education (CE) in the past 12 months
• 6 hours of forensic psychology/psychiatry CE in the past 24 months

Responsibilities
• Conduct competency to stand trial and sanity evaluations for forensic patients
• Perform violence risk assessments and related forensic evaluations
• Complete and submit comprehensive written forensic reports for the courts and designated systems
• Provide expert testimony in court proceedings as required
• Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities related to forensic services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, legal staff, and administrators
• Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable state/federal regulations
