Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a dynamic cardiovascular team as a Cath Lab Technologist in a well-equipped healthcare facility located in Hillsborough, NJ. This travel position offers a unique opportunity to apply your imaging and invasive cardiac procedure skills in a fast-paced catheterization lab setting. The role focuses on supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of imaging quality.
Schedule & Hours:
- 4x10-hour shifts
- Flexible start time between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM
- On-call availability preferred, up to 10 days per month (average of 6 days)
- Call shifts begin at either 5 PM or 7 PM and end at 6:30 AM the following day
- On-call technicians are expected to be within a 30-minute radius of the hospital or utilize provided on-call rooms
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the catheterization laboratory, including equipment setup, inventory management, and maintaining a sterile environment
- Assist physicians by functioning as a scrub tech during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic data and operate control room equipment during procedures while accurately documenting records
- Deliver high-quality radiographic imaging with a strong focus on radiation safety and quality assurance
- Review patient procedure orders and medical records, explain procedures to patients, and address their questions to enhance the patient experience
- Maintain detailed documentation including images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; 2 or more years preferred
