Position Overview:

The Payroll Analyst will report directly to the Payroll Manager and play a key role in supporting the payroll process with adherence to company policies and procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment while helping to maintain accuracy and compliance in payroll operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll leveraging the PeopleSoft North American Payroll module.
  • Act as the payroll subject matter expert for an assigned client base.
  • Generate and review payroll data, ensuring accurate computation and conducting audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Collect, calculate, and enter payroll information accurately into systems.
  • Export time data from ADP eTIME for payroll processing.
  • Review and audit timesheets for proper approval, following up on any discrepancies.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance for additional pay elements, including bonuses, garnishments, loans, and deductions.
  • Assist with research, processing, and auditing of additional pay requests.
  • Manage requests received via the payroll mailbox while maintaining service standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to payroll processes.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional support and communication to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.

Teamwork & Time Management:

This role requires working collaboratively with colleagues across departments and effectively managing priorities during critical processing periods.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; certification in payroll practices is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years within payroll operations, with 2-5 years total experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with PeopleSoft Payroll and knowledge of multi-state payroll tax requirements.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations for payroll compliance.
  • Familiarity with payroll tools, such as ADP eTIME.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Disciplined organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to recommend solutions and ensure accuracy.

Contract-to-Hire Structure:

This position begins as a contract role and offers the potential to transition to full-time employment pending performance and organizational fit.
