Job Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Brooklyn, NY 10466
Assignment Type: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week (5 x 7.5-hour shifts)
Shift Options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Includes Rotating Saturdays)
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Overtime:

Daily OT after 8 hours (per applicable multiplier)

Weekly OT after 40 hours (per applicable multiplier)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment in Brooklyn, NY. The Dental Assistant will support dentists and clinical staff in delivering high-quality dental care within a busy clinical environment. This role involves chairside assistance, radiography, sterilization procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records to ensure smooth clinical operations and excellent patient care.
Candidates must be able to commit to the full contract duration.
Responsibilities

Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatment procedures

Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures

Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays)

Sterilize dental instruments using an autoclave and maintain equipment
-
Mix amalgams, cements, and composite materials as directed
-
Maintain accurate dental records and documentation

Perform assigned laboratory procedures
-
Follow strict infection control and safety standards

Support overall clinic workflow and patient care operations
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
-
One of the following:
-
Completion of at least 600 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant school
OR -
300 instructional hours plus six (6) months of full-time satisfactory Dental Assistant experience
OR -
One (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant

Sterilizing instruments using an autoclave

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a clinical dental setting

Strong communication and organizational skills
