Terms of Employment
- W2 Contract, 12 Months
- This is a 100% remote opportunity (Candidates from MD, VA and DC are required)
Responsibilities
- Investigates and resolves complex, non-adjudicated claims by applying specific contract terms, medical policies, and procedural requirements.
- Utilizes multiple automated systems to process system-specific claims, ensuring accurate calculation of deductibles, maximums, and timely payment generation.
- Conducts detailed research using medical policies and training materials, partnering with Quality and Leadership teams to ensure high-accuracy processing of difficult claims.
- Tracks and reports daily productivity data used by management for financial planning, workflow design, and performance statistics.
- Coordinates with multiple departments to provide feedback, resolve processing issues, and offer guidance on basic claim inquiries.
Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year experience processing claim documents.
- Highly proficient in Verbal Communication and Teamwork.
- Strong capabilities in Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.
- Expert-level Time Management combined with strong Organizational Skills and a Detail-Oriented approach.
- Intermediate proficiency in Data Entry and Basic PC Skills.
- Experienced in MS Outlook , MS Excel , and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiar with ICD 10 healthcare coding.
- Demonstrated reading comprehension and ability to follow directions provided.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years Claims processing, billing, or medical terminology experience
