Thakkar | DC is seeking an experienced construction professional with exceptional leadership skills to join our growing team in Houston, TX. If you excel at managing subcontractors, vendors, and maintaining safety and compliance on active job sites, you may be the perfect fit as our next Construction Superintendent. Our ideal candidate brings 10+ years of field experience and the confidence to supervise all site activities while upholding our commitment to safety and quality on every project.
Compensation:
$90,000 - $105,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for high-end luxury residential projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners — maintaining clear communication and accountability across all phases of construction
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to ensure precise execution of complex, detail-driven designs
- Conduct daily site inspections to enforce safety compliance, quality control, and alignment with luxury finish expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership, project managers, architects, and design teams — providing professional, client-facing communication throughout the build
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues, submittals, and RFIs to keep projects on track without compromising craftsmanship or client experience
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of construction field experience with a demonstrated focus on high-end luxury residential projects
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings, specifications, and finish schedules
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience managing multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously
- Deep knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and OSHA safety requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of delivering projects that meet premium quality and craftsmanship standards
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) and strong written and verbal communication skills
