Role Overview
The Senior Estimator (Remote)
You will play a key role in protecting margins, improving win rates, and standardizing estimating practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities

Review and validate estimates for accuracy, scope, and constructability

Correct errors in quantities, materials, pricing logic, and sequencing

Ensure clear scope definitions, exclusions, and assumptions

Standardize estimate formatting and maintain documentation quality
-
Validate pricing using historical data, vendors, and market benchmarks
-
Reduce change orders by eliminating scope gaps and ambiguity
-
Mentor junior estimators and support best practices
-
Collaborate with project managers during pre-bid and planning stages
-
Present and defend estimates when required
Requirements
-
7+ years of construction estimating experience
-
Strong background in multifamily renovations or unit turns
-
Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing

Ability to identify scope gaps and pricing inconsistencies quickly

Advanced Excel skills (required)

Experience with estimating or construction management software (preferred)

Strong attention to detail and QA mindset

Clear communication skills in remote environments
