Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to install, set up, operate, and adjust conventional and CNC machining equipment to produce precision components. This role is responsible for machining parts to exact specifications, troubleshooting equipment issues, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience with mills, lathes, and CNC machines and thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, test, and adjust conventional and CNC machining equipment.
  • Machine precision parts using lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair components for industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring and testing instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot machining and mechanical issues and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
  • Support production by manufacturing high-quality components for graphite products.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of machinist experience or related machining experience.
  • Experience operating mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of shop math, machining procedures, and metal properties.
  • Ability to accurately measure and inspect parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, dusty, and dirty.
  • No formal education or certifications required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkinsville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.06 - $28.06/hr.
