Director of Manufacturing Operations; Bedding

\n

Position Summary: The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for leading our Bedding Manufacturing Facility while developing and executing strategies to achieve 100% Out of Box Quality (OBQ) and On-Time Delivery targets while maintaining profitability goals. This position carries P&L responsibility for the business unit and oversees all manufacturing operations including production, performance, development, and production & inventory control (P&IC).

Primary Responsibilities:

\n

Strategic Leadership & Operations Management

\n

    \n
  • Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies
  • \n

  • Manage P&L responsibilities and maintain budgetary compliance
  • \n

  • Drive operational performance through productivity improvements and cost reduction
  • \n

  • Ensure 100% OBQ and On-Time Delivery across all facilities
  • \n

  • Oversee facility operations, maintenance, and inventory control functions
  • \n

  • Implement and maintain operational standards per corporate policies
  • \n

Performance & Quality Management

\n

    \n
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics
  • \n

  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives
  • \n

  • Maintain quality and safety standards compliance
  • \n

  • Partner with corporate functions to improve cost, quality, and delivery metrics
  • \n

  • Optimize resource allocation across equipment, facilities, and personnel
  • \n

\n

Team Leadership & Development

\n

    \n
  • Lead and develop manufacturing management teams
  • \n

  • Establish performance goals and objectives for direct/indirect reports
  • \n

  • Implement succession planning and leadership development programs
  • \n

  • Make key employment decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations
  • \n

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning
  • \n

  • Manage employee relations and maintain accurate time-keeping records
  • \n

\n

Business Partnership & Innovation

\n

    \n
  • Participate in regional and global supply chain strategy development
  • \n

  • Partner with senior business leaders on continuous improvement initiatives
  • \n

  • Drive innovation in manufacturing processes and cost management
  • \n

  • Facilitate best practices sharing and benchmarking across facilities
  • \n

  • Collaborate with support functions to achieve organizational goals
  • \n

\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field
  • \n

  • 10+ years of manufacturing operations experience
  • \n

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing
  • \n

  • Demonstrated P&L management experience
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • \n

  • Experience leading large manufacturing operations
  • \n

\n

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • \n

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • \n

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
  • \n

\n
