We are a trusted NYC-based elevator maintenance, modernization, and inspection company known for its commitment to safety, precision, and exceptional client service. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to ensure our projects and client sites meet all NYC regulatory requirements.
Position Overview
This person will support our field teams by reviewing DOB for active violations, elevator systems, maintenance records, and work activities for compliance with NYC Building Code, DOB Elevator Unit requirements, and related local regulations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Visiting DOB (NYC/other Jurisdictions) to submit paperwork, make payments and pick up documents associated with our clients.
- Review maintenance and test records to ensure they meet the respective DOB.
- Identify and document violations; recommend corrective actions to our sales team.
- Assist in preparing/scheduling for DOB inspections and category testing (CAT-1, CAT-5).
- Collaborate with mechanics, project managers, and clients to resolve compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate, organized compliance records and inspection logs.
Qualifications
- Experience in elevator compliance, building inspections, (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple inspections and reports.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
