Job Description
Packard Claims Administration is a fast paced and growing TPA handing Workers' Compensation claims looking for a Workers' Comp Lost Time Claims Examiner with 2+ years litigation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Must have and maintain Florida Adjuster license (620 All Lines License)
- Determine coverage, compensability and potential for subrogation recovery on assigned claims
- Ability to investigate claims with little supervision ranging from simple to more complex
- Communication timely with appropriate parties involved in claims per company policies
- Responsible for setting, maintaining and adjusting reserves for the life of the claim
- Work with in-house nursing team to develop and execute return to work strategies
- Document and execute action plans to bring claims to final resolution
- Negotiate claims for settlement within desk authority
- Knowledge of Jurisdictional requirements to ensure timely denial and/or payment of benefits
- Maintain continuing education requirements for assigned jurisdictions
- Keep up to date on case laws for each assigned jurisdiction
- Obtain extensive knowledge of assigned claims for preparation of possible depositions and/or mediations
- Act in accordance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2+ or more years related claims experience required
- Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
- Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices Computer experience with related claims and business software
