Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) positions are available for the uping school year in Tijeras, NM. This full-time role focuses on providing supportive therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, working closely with the district's Occupational Therapist.
Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) with current NM PED certification
- Experience or education in school-based therapy, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an itinerant role
- Knowledge of IEPs and related documentation processes
Location:
Tijeras, NM
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement individual student therapy plans
- Provide direct support to students requiring occupational therapy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and municate effectively with educators and parents
- Adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs within the K-12 environment
