We are hiring a Machine Operator for our client, a global leader in material handling solutions. This role is part of the Spares Department, which manages all spare parts orders and supports manufacturing operations.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Interroll is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, handling materials, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet Interroll’s safety and quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining efficient production flow and on-time delivery for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate production and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Review daily production schedules and work orders
- Load, unload, and monitor materials throughout the production process
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections
- Identify and report defects or nonconforming materials
- Assemble components or sub-assemblies as required
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate production issues or material shortages to supervisors
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and safety guidelines
- Basic math skills including measurements and fractions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience using forklift
- Familiarity with SAP or manufacturing systems
- Warehouse or production experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching
- Ability to work around moving machinery and loud noise levels
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and production facility
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, vibration, fumes, and noise
Salary range:
Pay starts at $18.00 per hour
