What we are looking for:
A Surgical Technician (Tech) to complete a variety of support functions critical to the success of surgical procedures and the overall execution of quality patient care. Our ideal candidate loves working as a collaborative member of a team, consistently displays professional behavior, and communicates effectively with others. Any interested candidates should be totally comfortable demonstrating competency in all skills related to the performance of both surgical procedures and general patient care … Bonus points if you are great at making others smile!
What you'll do:

Prepare patients for visits and surgical procedures.

Arrange surgery room instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information.

Accurately and timely complete documentation using both the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and any required paper documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality.

Work with healthcare team to assure smooth and efficient patient flow and procedures.

Respond to care questions or complaints to immediately resolve.

Deliver patient care per provider orders and based on practice guidelines, physician delegation regulations and state Medical Assistant State Scope of Practice regulations.

Adhere to policies, procedures and protocols related to clinical and surgical dermatology services.

Operate equipment according to equipment guidelines.

Order, stock, and maintain surgical rooms, special order items and supply storage areas.

Other duties as assigned.

It’ll help to have/be:

Able to adjust personal availability according to volume changes and activity surges

The ability to adhere to a compliance program and HIPAA standards and policies

Able to receive and apply constructive input for performance improvement and growth.

Surgical Technician certification and/or MA certification - as required by state.

Current BLS CPR training - as required by state.

Previous experience as a surgical technician – dermatology specific experience preferred
Qualifications/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience with EHR systems highly desired.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
Work environment and physical requirements:
Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
