We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Admissions Registration Clerk to join our team in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient registration processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a long-term contract position requiring in-office work with occasional weekend shifts. This is a second shift position from 3:00pm-11:00pm.


Responsibilities:

• Manage patient registration and check-in procedures, ensuring all forms and documentation are completed accurately.

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.

• Schedule patient appointments while coordinating with other departments as needed.

• Provide assistance and information to patients regarding their registrations and appointments.

• Utilize medical software systems efficiently to maintain accurate and updated records.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address inquiries and concerns.

• Maintain an attentive and welcoming front office environment.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures during daily operations.

• Support the team in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.

• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to the role.

• Previous experience in a medical front office or receptionist role is required.
• Proficiency in patient scheduling and registration processes.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and insurance verification procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with medical software systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable interacting with patients in a face-to-face setting.
• Physically capable of completing training and performing job duties.
• Business casual attire is required, adhering to workplace dress code guidelines.
