Role Description

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of all parts and materials required to support maintenance operations. This role maintains inventory integrity, supports technicians with timely parts availability, and collaborates closely with the Maintenance Manager to plan and organize weekly maintenance activities.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Receive parts and reconcile to packing slip and PO
  • Stock parts in assigned location
  • Update MaintainX inventory counts as received.
  • Order part according to Min/max units set for each item
  • Work with Manager to set Min/max units for each item
  • Create PO for Stock ideas for approval
  • Check out parts to Mechanics as needed, document item removed to account for inventory
  • Restock parts if needed, with approval of Manager.
  • Conduct random area cycles count for inventory accuracy, monthly.
  • Conduct annual Full Parts cage Inventory Cycle counts
  • Report any issues with stock or unaccounted parts.
  • Return items to supplier for restock or repair and track status of each
  • Plan Maintenance work weekly for each Technician, with assistance from Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Pick up parts from local vendors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Hydraulic and pneumatics maintenance
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
  • Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment; a variety of skills needed: Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, docks and doors, security systems
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) and safety regulations, technical experience in machine mechanics and equipment troubleshooting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, team-focused and with the ability to hold others accountable


Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate
  • Trade School certified preferred

Physical and Work Related Requirements:

  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Bending and lifting up to 50 LB
  • Ability to handle allergens including peanuts and treenuts
