The Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality care to each assigned patient, resident, or client with daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident/patient/ or client's assessment and plan of care.

Responsibilities:
- Assessing the functional abilities and limitations of residents through comprehensive evaluations.
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and resident goals.
- Implementing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
- Providing therapeutic activities and exercises to improve residents' motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength.
- Evaluating the need for assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and modifications to improve residents' ability to perform daily activities.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure a coordinated and interdisciplinary approach to resident care.
- Monitoring and documenting residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educating residents and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies to optimize independence.
- Adhering to legal, ethical, and professional standards of occupational therapy practice.
- Participating in team meetings, staff development activities, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of New York.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate care and promoting the well-being of residents.
