Job DescriptionAs a Fabrication Technician, you’ll fabricate construction-grade fabrics to customer specifications, including geotextile tubes, pre-fabricated panels, and other customer products. This role involves reading diagrams, operating industrial sewing machines, measuring, cutting, and maintaining equipment while ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the layout and maneuvering of industrial grade fabrics used to produce geo-synthetic tubes and other high strength woven fabrics
- Fold, gather, and feed materials for the sever to join fabrics
- Observe stitching to detect defects due to workmanship or machine malfunction
- Observe fabrics for visual flaws in fabrics used in production
- Operate forklift and pole truck
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and retain routine processes
- Ability to read and understand documents, safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions furnished
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Forklift experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 100lbs
