Cultivate is a strategic consulting firm that partners with leaders at science-led companies to build high-performing cultures. We are seeking a Strategy & Culture Consultant to lead a comprehensive organizational development project for a major biopharmaceutical client. You will serve as the primary client relationship manager and strategic lead for a multi-month engagement involving multiple workstreams of organizational and leadership capability development, learning strategy and design.

This role requires someone who can navigate complex stakeholder environments in large enterprises, synthesize organizational needs into actionable strategies, and manage multiple workstreams - all while maintaining exceptional client relationships and creating deliverables that are driven by human centered design. You'll be working with a team on experience design/re-design, content development, and organizational capability building.

This role combines strategic client relationship management, direct creation of client-ready deliverables, and seamless project coordination. We're seeking consultants who thrive in hands-on environments and adapt fluidly to evolving project demands while maintaining exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Project Leadership

  • Deeply understand our enterprise clients' industries and strategic objectives while building broad stakeholder relationships that uncover their evolving needs

  • Serve as primary client contact for the engagement, managing relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions

  • Lead discovery phases including stakeholder interviews, gap analyses, and organizational assessments

  • Conduct experience mapping and persona development for key organizational touchpoints

  • Facilitate design sessions and stakeholder alignment meetings

  • Create client-ready PowerPoint decks and other communications that synthesize complex information into actionable insights

  • Construct compelling, easy-to-follow narratives that structure thinking clearly for all stakeholders

  • Create structured project workplans with tracked milestones across multiple workstreams

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards across multiple workstreams.

  • Maintain transparent communication for client and internal teams through proactive updates and documentation

  • Manage creative design partners to build compelling assets across photo, video, print and multi-media platforms.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and drive impact

Strategic Analysis & Design

  • Analyze current organizational programs against best-in-class industry benchmarks and large enterprise contexts

  • Design comprehensive strategies that align with organizational priorities and employee experience goals

  • Develop measurement frameworks and success metrics for change and capability development initiatives

Content Strategy & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead content strategy for new organizational offerings, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

  • Guide the redesign of existing organizational capabilities and programs

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cohesive deliverable development

  • Present findings, recommendations, and design concepts to senior leadership

Innovation Integration

  • Identify opportunities to embed innovative tools and technologies into organizational experiences

  • Research and recommend innovative approaches including data-driven personalization and adaptive systems

  • Ensure solutions leverage contemporary methodologies while maintaining practical applicability

Required Competencies for This Role

  • Enterprise Consulting: Experience leading strategic projects for large organizations, preferably in healthcare, biotech, or similar regulated industries

  • Business Acumen: Demonstrates a deep understanding of industry, competition, strategy and decision drivers across the client organization

  • Organizational Development: Demonstrated experience redesigning employee experiences and organizational capabilities

  • Change Management: Experience leading organizational transformation initiatives across multiple business functions

  • Stakeholder Management in Complex Organizations: Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and navigate enterprise decision-making processes

  • Client Relationship Mastery: Proactively builds deep relationships through genuine empathy for clients' personal and professional challenges, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported while structuring all interactions for maximum clarity, efficiency, and actionable outcomes.

  • Project Team People Leadership: Leads complex, time-sensitive projects with cross-functional client stakeholders while guiding small consulting teams to develop highest-quality deliverables through meticulous planning, structured documentation, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Project Management Excellence: Demonstrates flawless organizational discipline in engagement setup, milestone tracking, and deliverable execution with precision, using digital platforms to streamline workflows while managing evolving project needs, resetting expectations when necessary, and maintaining seamless stakeholder alignment.

  • Strategic Communication: Expert-level presentation and communication skills for senior leadership audiences

  • Experience Design Mindset: Ensures human-centered design principles are woven into all deliverables to shape powerful experiences for leaders

  • Innovation: Thinks divergently about novel solutions and converges on workable solutions to execute

  • Digital Acumen: Utilizes the latest tools and technologies (including Artificial Intelligence) to enhance productivity and shape new solutions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4-7 years experience in management consulting, organizational development, strategy, innovation or leading transformative initiatives at growing companies and/or large enterprises

  • Proven track record with enterprise-scale organizational change projects

  • Experience in healthcare, biotech, or science-led organizations strongly preferred

  • Expert-level PowerPoint skills in both narrative development/storylining and in slide design

  • Experience creating initiatives and deliverables specifically for culture transformation and/or change initiatives

  • Track record of successfully managing complex stakeholder relationships across disciplines and at scale (either with multiple parties or within a large enterprise)

  • Facility with digital platforms and technologies

  • Comfort with Artificial Intelligence tools – in particular GenAI/Large Language Models (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Grok) to improve the flow of work

Contract details:

  • This is a remote role in a fast-paced environment

    • Occasional travel to client site may be required

  • Must be available during Eastern time zone working hours

  • Sometimes need to extend regular working hours to meet tight deadlines and/or attend global client calls, but can adjust overall hours with flex time

  • Contract role: 35 hours / week; 4 month engagement with opportunity for extension

  • Rate: $50 - $60 per hour
