Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a summer contract opportunity providing school-based physical therapy services to K-12 students. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys making a positive impact during Extended School Year (ESY) programs. The assignment spans late June through July, with a schedule focused on providing valuable therapy in a supportive educational environment.

Key Details:

  • Work Day: June 25, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • ESY Schedule: June 29–July 1, July 6–9, July 13–16, July 20–23 (Monday–Thursday)
  • Hours: Arrive by 7:45 am; most days conclude by 12:31 pm
  • Approximate weekly commitment of 3-5 hours
  • Final days (July 22–23) include up to 4 hours for student records and packing up the therapy space

Qualifications:

  • Current Physical Therapist licensure (PT) in Missouri
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably with both elementary and secondary students
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide engaging, age-appropriate therapy interventions
  • Flexibility to adapt to a small but varying caseload (approximately 7 students, 175 minutes/week)
  • Commitment to collaboration with special education staff and school team members

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized and group PT services as outlined in student IEPs
  • Maintain detailed session notes and progress records
  • Prepare and update documentation efficiently
  • Participate in ESY planning and wrap-up activities
  • Ensure a supportive, safe environment for all students
