McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for CNA/CMA/LPN/RN Roomer for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Assists with patient rooming processes including measures and documents height, weight, and vital sign readings, as directed. Room turnover and cleaning in a timely manner. Assists with supply stocking and monitoring. Performs receptionist duties, as required. Assist patients to and from the restroom. Assist patients and staff with wheelchair transfers. Be of assistance to the nurse. Restock room supplies. Assist with reordering medical supplies. Performing other duties, as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program with verification of certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistant.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Certification/License

  • Completion of 75-hour basic Certified Nursing Assistant Program or Completion of Advanced Nurse Aide Program with certificate.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologist (AMT), NAHP, NCCT, NHA
  • Possession of a State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Possession of a State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse.

Days: Monday - Friday.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience

  • Previous CNA experience preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Medical terminology completion of class within one year of employment.
  • LPN/RN - Previous hospital or clinic experience preferred.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
