Pride Health is hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in New York, NY 10004. This is a 13-week assignment with a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant

Location: New York, NY 10004

Hourly W2 pay: $26/hr - $31/hr

Schedule: Hybrid, Mon–Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM

Start date: 06/01/2026


Responsibilities:

Responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing invoices/claims, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.

Performs data entry and claims adjudication, verifying provider/member information and applying administrative policies.

Evaluates claims for errors, payment issues, and missing details; may request additional information from providers.

Maintains production and quality standards while updating manuals and supporting departmental processes.


Requirements:

High school diploma/GED (Associate’s or healthcare experience preferred)

2+ years of experience, ideally in healthcare insurance or claims processing

Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD, and revenue codes

Strong data entry, problem-solving, and time management skills

Proficiency in PC applications
