Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatal Hospitalist to become part of a distinguished, integrated neonatology team dedicated to serving newborns and their families throughout San Francisco and the Peninsula.

You will collaborate with a team of neonatologists, neonatal hospitalists, and neonatal nurse practitioners within a nurturing, multispecialty environment that combines the independence of community practice with the extensive resources of a large, integrated healthcare system.
Practice Locations:
- California Pacific Medical Center (San Francisco, CA) — 35-bed Level III NICU, serving as a regional referral center
- Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (Burlingame, CA) — Level I–II nursery with approximately 1,500 deliveries each year
California Pacific Medical Center (San Francisco):
As a member of our Level III NICU team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing inpatient care for neonates and attending deliveries
- Offering night coverage in collaboration with an in-house neonatal hospitalist team
- Supporting an active well-baby service
- Facilitating transport services and managing high-risk perinatal navigation
- Gaining access to extensive pediatric subspecialty programs (including a small baby unit, neurocritical care, and neonatal surgery) through our partnership with Stanford Children’s Hospital
Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (Burlingame):
Hospitalists will deliver specialized neonatal care around the clock, which includes:
- Managing inpatient care for newborns (primarily Level I)
- Providing coverage for a 6-bed Level II Special Care Nursery
- Addressing respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding challenges, and care for late-preterm infants (≥34 weeks)
- Attending deliveries and providing well-baby care
- Coordinating with neonatology, transport services, and pediatric subspecialists
- Implementing a strong family-centered care model that emphasizes parent education, communication, and support
You will work closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, and labor and delivery teams to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Active California medical license (preferred; required prior to start date)
