  • Gaining access to extensive pediatric subspecialty programs (including a small baby unit, neurocritical care, and neonatal surgery) through our partnership with Stanford Children’s Hospital

Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (Burlingame):

Hospitalists will deliver specialized neonatal care around the clock, which includes:

  • Managing inpatient care for newborns (primarily Level I)
  • Providing coverage for a 6-bed Level II Special Care Nursery
  • Addressing respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding challenges, and care for late-preterm infants (≥34 weeks)
  • Attending deliveries and providing well-baby care
  • Coordinating with neonatology, transport services, and pediatric subspecialists
  • Implementing a strong family-centered care model that emphasizes parent education, communication, and support

You will work closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, and labor and delivery teams to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Active California medical license (preferred; required prior to start date)

What We Provide:

  • A generous and comprehensive benefits package
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
  • A robust retirement plan
