We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in full-cycle accounting and reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to verify financial accuracy.
• Assist with full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain integrity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance.
• Generate detailed financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Monitor the general ledger to ensure proper classification and accuracy of transactions.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and standards to maintain compliance.
• Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures.
• Familiarity with full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Advanced analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
