Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students across multiple locations within Grant County, KY. This full-time, onsite contract position is set to begin on August 17th, 2026, and will conclude on May 26th, 2027, requiring a commitment of approximately 35 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Experience working with diverse learners in special education settings
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
- Deliver specialized instruction that promotes academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate with parents, staff, and administrators to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and district regulations
Location: Multiple schools within Grant County, KY, with an emphasis on onsite presence. Candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance to facilitate timely arrival and integration into school communities.
