Finishing Supervisor | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily finishing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Monitor and ensure the quality of finished products through regular inspections and adherence to specifications.
Train, mentor, and evaluate finishing department personnel, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies within the finishing area.
Optimize finishing processes for efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage inventory of finishing materials and supplies, ensuring availability and minimizing downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues to maintain continuous workflow.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing finishing department.
In-depth knowledge of various finishing processes (e.g., painting, coating, polishing, final assembly/inspection).
Proven ability to implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures.
Strong leadership and team management skills, including training and performance motivation.
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities in a production environment, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Proficiency with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for production tracking.
Experience with automated finishing equipment or robotics.
Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish or other common manufacturing languages.
