The Capacity Representative is a key member of our operations team, responsible for securing
reliable transportation capacity, managing carrier relationships, and supporting the successful
movement of freight from pick-up to delivery. This is a fast-paced, production-driven role ideal
for individuals who thrive in a competitive environment, enjoy problem-solving, and are
motivated by reaching performance goals with strong financial upside.
Work Schedule
• Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend Rotation: Assigned one half-day shift (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) on a Saturday or
Sunday once or twice per quarter
Key Responsibilities
• Book freight loads with contracted and non-contracted carriers while ensuring service
expectations are met
• Track and trace shipments from pick-up through final delivery, maintaining proactive
communication with internal teams and customers
• Negotiate competitive carrier rates to maximize margin and support company revenue
goals
• Develop and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure consistent and reliable
capacity
• Onboard new contracted carriers, ensuring all compliance and credentialing standards are
met
• Monitor load progress and resolve service issues quickly and professionally
• Analyze market trends and apply strategic thinking to secure the best possible
transportation solutions
• Maximize marginal earnings through efficient carrier procurement and strong negotiation
strategies
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused workplace and support broader operations
initiatives as needed
Qualifications & Expectations
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume, fast-moving
environment
• A competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a strong desire to exceed performance metrics
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with others and build lasting carrier
partnerships
• Critical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot challenges and make informed decisions
quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with production-based expectations and performance-driven compensation
• Prior logistics or transportation experience is a plus, but not required
