Quality Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for internal and external non-conformances.
- Design and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to develop FMEAs, control plans, and PPAP submissions.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and drive resolution.
- Monitor and improve supplier quality through audits and performance tracking.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience applying quality methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, and MSA in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding and experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems; AS9100 or IATF 16949 experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation, utilizing tools like Minitab or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Experience with various measurement techniques and equipment calibration.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, CSSBB)
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with ERP or MES systems for quality data management
