Lucy School, located in the scenic Middletown Valley, is a unique independent school serving children from preschool through 8th Grade. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Part-Time assistant teacher to join our dedicated team in lower elementary. This role supports students by enhancing their educational experience and helping them thrive in a nurturing environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience and training in working with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and other behavioral and developmental needs
• Knowledgeable in managing behavior and implementing positive reinforcement strategies
• A collaborative, compassionate approach to student support
• Previous experience in educational or therapeutic settings
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group support under the guidance of lead teachers, the counselor, and administrators
• Foster a calm, supportive, and structured environment for students
• Collaborate with staff to adapt activities and ensure every child can participate fully in our academic, arts-based, and nature-focused curriculum
