This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) within the Float Pool at a healthcare facility in St. Louis, where you will deliver patient care across multiple departments, including orthopedics, emergency, ICU, and others. Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience in acute care nursing, relevant certifications, and a commitment to the organization's nursing standards and ethical practices. Utilizing our Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing processes, you will provide comprehensive patient care. You will be accountable for the care of your assigned patients and will collaborate with various departments to coordinate their care. Upholding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality is essential. You will operate within the scope of your nursing training and adhere to established nursing guidelines, the organization's goals, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. About the Float Pool:
If you excel in fast-paced settings and enjoy learning new skills daily, the Float Pool is the right fit for you. You will gain extensive clinical experience, enhance your assessment and communication abilities, and collaborate with diverse teams throughout the hospital.
Potential Units for Floating:
- Orthopedics, Med/Surg, Medical Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown
- Medical/Surgical/Cardiac Stepdown
- Cardiac Telemetry, CVICU, Oncology, Neurology
- Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, ICU, and more!
Float Pool Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the last year)
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited institution (BSN preferred)
- Licensure: Valid RN license in Missouri
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
