Summary: The Revenue Cycle Team Lead assists in coordinating the workflow of the billing team, ensuring efficient processing of claims. This role provides guidance to team members, addresses routine billing issues, and escalates complex problems to the Supervisor or Manager. The Lead is aware of Billing requirements and ensures Compliance with guidelines.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Work Location: 1495 Garden of the Gods Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80907

Compensation: Hourly rates range from $20.43 to $21.00, dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating daily billing activities and workflow distribution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to billing team members.
• Identify and address routine billing issues and escalate complex problems.
• Understand the Claims clearinghouse submission/rejection processing. Submit tickets to software vendor as needed. Pull claim reports and reconcile to services.
• Assist with training new team members and reinforcing best practices.
• Understand the Collections process and identify collection and appeals practices needing improvement.
• Perform regular quality checks and support compliance audits.
• Escalates potential issues that could affect or delay claims processing and affect cashflow.
• Maintain effective communication within the billing team and across departments.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; additional certification or training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of healthcare billing experience.
• Strong familiarity with billing systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Have full knowledge of Colorado fee schedule, and any changes. It updates every 1st of every year.
• Other duties to be assigned as needed.
