Contract Recruiter – High-Volume / Mission-Driven Hiring (Remote)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Type: Full-Time Contract (40 hours/week)
Duration: Initial contract with strong potential for extension or conversion
Industry: Healthcare / Behavioral Health / Social Services
About the Opportunity:
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, mission-driven healthcare organization focused on improving access to care for Medicaid populations, including individuals with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Due to significant growth in 2025, the organization is expanding its recruiting team and seeking experienced contract recruiters to support high-volume hiring across multiple regions.
This is an embedded, hands-on recruiting role ideal for recruiters who thrive in fast-paced environments, value autonomy, and want their work to have meaningful impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage high-volume requisitions for frontline, community-based roles
- Partner closely with hiring managers and an internal Recruiting Manager to prioritize and execute hiring plans
- Review and manage large inbound applicant pipelines, primarily through Indeed
- Conduct recruiter screens and guide candidates through the hiring process with empathy and professionalism
- Ensure candidates meet role requirements, including lived-experience qualifications, using structured and respectful screening approaches
- Maintain accurate documentation and pipeline tracking in Greenhouse ATS
- Deliver a strong candidate experience while moving quickly and efficiently
What We’re Looking For:
Required
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume or frontline hiring
- Experience recruiting in healthcare, behavioral health, social services, education, government, or similar sectors
- Comfortable working primarily with Indeed and inbound applicants
- Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
- Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
- ATS experience (Greenhouse strongly preferred)
Nice to Have
- Prior experience recruiting for Medicaid, behavioral health, or mission-driven organizations
- Background recruiting non-traditional candidates or populations not active on LinkedIn
- Experience in fully remote recruiting teams
