Discount Office Items, dba OfficeSupply.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Office Depot Corporation has an immediate need for a customer service representative. OfficeSupply.com is an e-commerce company specializing in office products and office supplies and is located in Columbus, WI. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with new orders, existing orders and product questions. Job responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service Representatives will receive incoming calls, emails and chats from customers
  • Contact manufacturers and suppliers for tracking information and order status
  • Check stock and availability of products
  • Follow-up with customers about ongoing issues
  • Manually enter orders in suppliers' systems
  • Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns
  • Assist customers with placing orders
  • Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company's customer service policies
  • Record customer information within our customer service database
  • Communicate with delivery services
  • Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products, services and policies


Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Basic Customer Service skills
  • Call center experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Type 45+ WPM
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Work well as a team as well as independently
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Organizational skills and multitasking is key
  • Self-discipline
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently


Experience:

  • Computer Skills: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent (Preferred)

Additional Requirements:

  • Must reside in Wisconsin or Minnesota, and be able to come to office for training as needed
  • Criminal Background and pre-employment drug testing required
