Job DescriptionPayBright is a rapidly-growing merchant services company serving businesses nationwide. We operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment where accuracy and execution matter.

We are hiring a Finance Specialist to support the daily financial operations of the business - ensuring billing is accurate, transactions are reconciled, and outstanding balances are actively managed. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting both internal teams and external partners.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process daily and monthly merchant billing, including service fees and transaction-based charges
  • Reconcile merchant deposits, processor reports, and internal system data
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies across financial records
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts on overdue balances
  • Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and compliance requirements
  • Prepare recurring reports related to billing, reconciliation, and collections activity
  • Support month-end and year-end close through reconciliations and journal entries
  • Respond to internal and merchant inquiries related to billing and account activity
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Ensure compliance with PCI standards, financial regulations, and internal policies
  • Provide support for audits, reporting, and finance-related projects



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in finance operations, billing, reconciliation, or collections
  • Experience in financial services or merchant services strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficiency with other AR/AP software is a plus

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Hybrid schedule (on-site in Raleigh, NC four days per week)
